What is a Rebana Drum?
The Rebana (or Terbangan) is a tambourine that is used in Islamic devotional music in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore.

How is the Rebana played?
A seated musician rests the drum on their left thigh in a vertical position by stabilizing it with their left hand. They strike the drum mostly with the right hand to produce a small vocabulary of timbres.


Made from goat skin, Mango wood frame and leather band.
