Mandala Frame Drum

This traditional drum sounds as good as it it looks. These drums are often used in traditional ceremonies, religious rituals, and cultural performances, playing a key role in the music and dance that are central to community life.

Sound: The Indonesian frame drum produces a wide range of tones, from deep, resonant bass notes to higher-pitched slaps and taps. The goat skin drumhead gives it a warm, natural sound that is both earthy and vibrant. Depending on where the drumhead is struck, the sound can vary significantly. The drum can be played with hands or soft mallets, depending on the desired sound.
